Warp Trails #92: Star Trek: Picard Series Finale

by Warp Trails

We review the final episode of Picard and one more triumph for the crew of the Enterprise-D over the Borg and look ahead to the future of Star Trek.

After three seasons, Star Trek: Picard has come to an end. In this episode of Warp Trails, we are discussing this satisfying, yet flawed, conclusion to the series. From our favorite moments and lines, to the elements of the episode and series that we still have an issue with, we discuss it all. Plus, this finale laid the groundwork for a spinoff, and we will discuss that as well. Picard may be over, but the Star Trek discussion continues on Warp Trails.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • How the finale worked as a finale for the season versus a finale for the series,
  • The potential for a spinoff featuring Seven of Nine and Jack Crusher,
  • How the conclusion of this season works, or fails to work, with the conclusion of season two,
  • The TitanA’s fight against all of Starfleet,
  • Picard and the crew of the Enterprise’s mission to defeat the Borg queen,
  • The difference between the Borg in this season compared to prior appearances, and
  • Picard and the crew of the Enterprise’s final moments together.
