Captain Burnham and the crew head to Trill in search of the next clue as to the location of the Progenitor’s technology while Commander Rayner experiences his first day on Discovery.
The quest for the Progenitor technology continues and the race to get there ahead of Moll and L’ak is on in the third episode of season five of Discovery. Captain Burnham and her crew are headed to Trill in the hopes of finding the next clue. However, finding that clue is more complicated than finding markings on rocks. Meanwhile, Commander Rayner reports to Discovery, but he is resistant to interact with the crew in a manner that will forge a relationship. This leads to friction with Tilly and other officers in the crew. Finally, there are relationship issues afoot as Adira and Gray confront the distance in their relationship while Saru and T’Rina encounter a boundary issue when the announcement of their engagement comes up.
