The Cerritos is moving up in the world and has been invited to participate in the negotiation for Ferenginar, home of the Ferengi, to join the United Federation of Planets. However, Admiral Vassery might be in over his head when he sits down at the negotiating table with Grand Nagus Rom and First Clerk Leeta. Luckily for him, Captain Freeman can smell the con the Ferengi have cooking, and she is there to steer things towards a successful outcome. Meanwhile, our recently promoted Lieutenants Junior Grade, Boimler, Mariner, Tendi, and Rutherford are given a prime assignment to explore Ferenginar and update Starfleet’s Trip Advisor about the bars, museums, bars, lounges, places of cultural significance, bars, hotels, and bars. Tendi and Rutherford are assigned to pose as a married couple, which is an assignment they relish until the awkwardness of the situation gets in the way.
