Joe and Bill have a talk about Star Wars Card Keeper!
Cards that you can’t trade are the buzz of the app, so there’s no surprise that Joe and Bill have to take the time to weigh in on this new phenomenon. There are a lot of different ways to look at the new direction that the app seems to be moving in, so the guys spend a good chunk of time talking about some of the thoughts that people have on either side of the debate. Where do you land? Are easy odds sets that you can’t trade the obvious way forward? Or should we see a return to trade-able cards that are more difficult to collect?
The untradeable issue isn’t only something that Star Wars Card Trader is dealing with, and Bunt is now dealing with a similar mechanic. However, the gallery set on Bunt still has quite difficult odds and the cards themselves can be traded, but must be pulled to receive a ticket that counts towards the awards. Will we see this sort of implementation coming to Card Trader? Joe has what he believes is a brilliant solution to the entire issue that handles things in a positive way for everyone, but you can decide for yourselves!
And now the Green and Orange chase is back! Capitalizing on the redesign of the Laser Burst cards, the new green laser and orange laser burst cards bring back the same style of the old chase. Pull a green at 1:100 and you are given a free pack with a 1 in 6 chance at pulling the orange. Unfortunately, the new packs are double to cost of the previous green chase, so some of the new oranges may end up being very rare indeed. Kylo and Ahsoka kick off the new chase and are such popular characters that they counts have come in quite high, but this seems unlikely to be a trend that continues with less popular characters.
After all that, there’s still the return of the “Hot as Tatooine, Cold as Hoth” poll and after Joe has to step away Bill handles the voicemail on his own. Can he survive Curt’s trivia while flying solo? You’ll have to listen to find out!
