At long last, Star Wars fans learn of how Asajj Ventress survived and what her life’s course was in the aftermath of the Clone Wars in Tales of the Underworld.
Lucasfilm surprised Star Wars audiences by resurrecting Asajj Ventress for season three of The Bad Batch. However, they never explained how Asajj Ventress returned to life after dying in Dark Disciple. At long last, Star Wars fans get their answers as to how Asajj returned in Tales of the Underworld. In addition, Asajj takes on a new life, and the first three episodes of this micro-series detail early steps as she meets a former Jedi on the run from the Empire and helps him find his way to the Path. For less than 45 minutes of screen time total, these three episodes present plenty to talk about. We’re breaking it all down in this episode of Podcast Stardust.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- Our non-spoiler thoughts about the Asajj Ventress episodes of Tales of the Underworld,
- The quality of the music from the Kiners,
- The “funeral” for Asajj spawning from Dark Disciple,
- Asajj’s decision when given a choice to return to the land of the living and what her motivation was,
- The introduction of Lyco Strata and his relationship with Asajj over the course of these three episodes,
- The confrontation with an Inquisitor,
- Doing a job with Latts Razzi and C-21 Highsinger to find information about the Path,
- Asajj and Lyco fighting raiders and reasoning with a former Separatist, and
- Lyco and Asajj’s budding friendship.
