The streaming numbers for Disney+ for 2024 are available, and a surprising entry came in second and lead all Star Wars and Marvel series.
Last year was a mixed year for Star Wars for many fans. Therefore, it was rather surprising when the total streaming minutes for various series on Disney+ was released, and Star Wars placed six entries in the top ten. Even more surprising was what finished in second place. We are discussing what all of this means, if anything, in this episode of Podcast Stardust. After that, we turn our attention to the cover reveal for The High Republic: Trials of the Jedi by Charles Soule, the announcement of another guest at Star Wars Celebration Japan, and the ultimate fate of the Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- The surprising overall success of The Acolyte compared to other streaming properties,
- What the numbers mean for a potential second season of Skeleton Crew,
- What shows might rank highly for 2025,
- The cover and a synopsis for The High Republic: Trials of the Jedi by Charles Soule,
- Rosario Dawson will be appearing at Star Wars Celebration Japan, and
- The fate of the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World.
