The Phantom Menace is a Star Wars movie full of iconic moments. Arguably, one of the most iconic scenes of the movie is the podrace. That just happens to be the scene we are discussing in this month’s installment of our series celebrating The Phantom Menace for its 25th anniversary. In this segment, we start by talking about the pageantry that comes with the podrace. From there, we discuss Qui-Gon’s motivations and his advice for Anakin Skywalker. We’re looking at many of the crashes and other misadventures of the podracers over the course of the race before we finally discuss Anakin’s triumphant finish.
