In part four of our series celebrating The Phantom Menace, we meet Anakin Skywalker, Watto, Shmi Skywalker, Threepio, and Sebulba as Qui-Gon looks for a way to acquire the parts they need.
Our series celebrating Star Wars: The Phantom Menace for its 25th anniversary continues. For new listeners, each month during 2024, we are looking at a 10-15 minute segment of the movie and analyzing it in detail. In this month’s installment, we are looking at a segment that introduces several important characters in the film: Anakin Skywalker, Watto, Sebulba, Shmi Skywalker, and C-3PO. We’ll talk about some of the first encounters of these characters with Padmé, Qui-Gon, Jar Jar, and R2-D2. Plus, the Sith have narrowed their search for the Queen of Naboo and the Jedi. There is a lot more to discuss in this ten minute segment than you might first think.
