We start our discussion of the stories from The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life with discussions of Axel Greylark, Marda Ro, Rooper Nitani, and more.
This episode explores the first half of The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life. This book is a collection of short stories written by the authors of the The High Republic. The book is an anthology of stories that spans the three phases of The High Republic so far. From Axel Greylark’s time at the university as a seventeen-year-old prior to the events of phase two to the crew of the Vessel‘s experience on Eiram in the days after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, this book tells a wide and varied collection of experiences. We’re discussing them all in this episode and ranking our favorites.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- A formative story of Axel Greylark’s time at University as he competes with a rival for the affection of his crush,
- Marda Ro’s memories of the events that followed the Battle of Dalna,
- Jedi Padawan Rooper Nitani’s Jedi Knight trial,
- A tale of friendship featuring Padawan Ram Jomaram, and
- The crew of the Vessel in the days, weeks, and months following the fall of Starlight Beacon.
