We’re celebrating Halloween with a discussion of some spooky Star Wars stories from Cavan Scott’s Tales from the Death Star.
Happy Halloween! We are celebrating the spooky season with a discussion of Cavan Scott’s Tales from the Death Star. This is another anthology of comics in a series that Scott has published over the past several years. We start the Halloween festivities by discussing how the ruins of the second Death Star make for a good haunted house before diving into all the details of the four stories contained in Tales from the Death Star. This is a fun collection that is perfect for celebrating Halloween in Star Wars style.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- The framing device of the story,
- The Espirion and where they come from,
- The tale of the dianoga on the first Death Star,
- Life Day and the myth of the Wild Squadron,
- The real world inspiration for the Wild Squadron,
- A tale of zombies attempting to get the construction of the second Death Star back on schedule, and
- The haunting of Grand Moff Tarkin.
