In part 8 of our series reviewing Return of the Jedi for its 40th anniversary, the Empire springs its trap on the Rebels and the Ewok attack on Endor.
The Rebel fleet has arrived at Endor. There is just one problem, the shield is not down and the Death Star is still protected. The Emperor has sprung his trap on the Rebel Alliance, and all appears lost. Meanwhile on Endor, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, and the Rebels are captured by the Imperial troops at the shield generator. Then the unexpected happens: the Ewoks attack. All three phases of the third act of Return of the Jedi are starting to take shape in space, on Endor, and in the Emperor’s throne room. We are dissecting all of it in this edition of our Return of the Jedi series in this episode of Podcast Stardust.
