We begin our series celebrating the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi with a discussion of Darth Vader’s arrival at the Death Star and the droids arriving at Jabba’s palace.
As hard as it is to believe, 2023 marks the 40th anniversary for Return of the Jedi. As we did with The Empire Strikes Back, we are celebrating this milestone by launching a year-long series analyzing and discussing the movie with many of our friends. In this first installment, we start with the 20th Century Fox logo, “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away,” and the opening crawl and work through Darth Vader’s arrival on the Death Star and Threepio and Artoo’s arrival at Jabba’s palace. There is a lot to establish for the movie in these opening scenes. Join us we get this series and anniversary kicked off in the right way!
