Jar Jar Binks has to fill in for the Gungan leader to prevent a civil war from breaking out on Naboo in this episode of our The Clone Wars re-watch.
It’s Monday, and that means it is time for the next installment in our The Clone Wars re-watch. This week, we are looking at “Shadow Warrior” and what happens when Jar Jar Binks stands in for the leader of the Gungans in the hopes of preventing a planetary civil war between the Gungans and the Naboo. He isn’t alone. Anakin and Padmé are dispatched to Naboo to help, and while they are there, they uncover a sinister plot designed to plunge the planet into war. We’ve got plenty to discuss in this episode of Podcast Stardust, so let’s get to it.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- Our overall thoughts on this episode of The Clone Wars,
- Why this episode is titled “Shadow Warrior,”
- How this episode is similar to the story arc that preceded it and whether it was a good idea to put this story so close to the prior one,
- Whether we liked the level of humor in Jar Jar Binks impersonating the Gungan leader,
- How impressive the Gungans were in confronting General Grievous,
- How Minister Risha Loo could have been used more in The Clone Wars,
- Why Darth Sidious insisted on a prisoner exchange, and
- Why Padmé made her decision to agree to a prisoner exchange.
