The Watcher reveals herself and her mission to Picard, the Borg Queen and Jurati confront one another, and Q’s plans take another turn.
At the end of the prior episode, Picard finally caught up with the Watcher that Q sent him to meet. So, how does this Laris lookalike figure into what is going on with the potential divergence of the timeline? Also, the intrigue around Q only intensifies when it is revealed he is attempting to persuade Picard’s ancestor from taking a history making space mission. If that weren’t enough, Q is sinking his claws into an ancestor of Dr. Soong’s by promising genetic treatments to his daughter. Finally, the Borg Queen and Dr. Jurati have a pivotal confrontation. What does all of this mean? Jay Shepard, host of such podcasts as Scarlet Velocity, Enjoy Stuff, and Superhero Suite, joins us to break it all down.
In this episode we discuss:
- The reveal of Picard’s ancestor and her potential role in shaping the future,
- The identity of the Watcher and what her mission on Earth is,
- Why or how the Watcher might resemble Laris from Picard’s time,
- Rios’s escape from the ICE transportation bus,
- Jurati’s confrontation with the Borg Queen and the resolution,
- The introduction of Adam Soong and his daughter, and
- Q’s plans and what clues might have been left by his dialogue.
