Warp Trails: Picard #2-03 Assimilation

by Warp Trails

Picard’s team looks for the Watcher in 2024 while Picard and Dr. Jurati take a dangerous risk in an  attempt to revive the Borg Queen.

The crew of La Sirena find themselves in the past in the year 2024. Their first order of business is to locate the Watcher and restore the timeline. However, the mission encounters its first casualty when Elnor succumbs to his wounds. While Raffi, Seven, and Rios begin the search for the Watcher, Picard and Jurati make the decision to try and revive the Queen. In order to accomplish that, Jurati makes a very dangerous decision. Naturally, when one goes back into the past, things tend to get chaotic. This mission is no exception.

In this episode we discuss:

  • The crew of La Sirena’s escape from the Magistrate,
  • Picard’s choice in attempting to revive the Borg Queen and its consequences,
  • Raffi’s anger with Picard after Elnor passed away,
  • Q’s minimal appearance in this episode, and what, if anything, it means,
  • Jurati’s attempt to get information from the Queen by submitting herself to assimilation,
  • Raffi and Seven of Nine attempting to locate the Watcher, and
  • Rios’s injuries and treatment in the clinic.
