When wild Mugato are found on Frylon IV, the U.S.S. Cerritos investigates. Boimler and Rutherford suspect Mariner is a black ops agent while Tendi conducts crew physicals.
Captain Freeman is disappointed to find that the U.S.S. Cerritos is being sent to Frylon IV to investigate what she calls an animal control mission. At least one Mugato has been spotted on the planet, and the Mugato aren’t native to that world. Lt. Shaxs leads an away team that includes Boimler, Rutherford, and Mariner. However, Boimler and Rutherford are a little suspicious that Mariner might be a black ops agent planted on the Cerritos by Starfleet. Once they find Ferengi on the planet, naturally, hijinks ensue. Meanwhile, Tendi is tasked by Dr. T’ana with completing overdue crew physicals.
On this episode we discuss:
- The history behind the Mugato and mispronunciations,
- The rumor that Mariner is a black ops agent,
- Rutherford and Boimler playing their Diplomats game,
- The feral Ferengi on Frylon IV,
- Tendi’s mission to complete the crew physicals, and
- A scam that Captain Freeman nearly didn’t detect.
