Star Wars Forces of Destiny
Big news on the animation front! Iconic Star Wars heroes are arriving on the small screen in an all new animated micro-series launching on Disney YouTube in July this year! The animated shorts (set at 3 minutes long) will feature such characters as Princess Leia, Jyn Erso, Rey, Ahsoka Tano, and Sabine Wren. Then there will be a two-part TV special with eight more shorts, airing fall of 2017. In addition, actresses who played the inspirational characters on screen will be voicing them on the animated series as well! Daisy Ridley (Rey), Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso), Tiya Sicar (Sabine Wren), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), and Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata) will all be reprising their roles. The series seems to be geared toward a younger audience, with books, apparel, and toys also coming.
