Joe and Bill discuss new Marathons, take a bunch of calls, and break down which sets are Hot as Tatooine and which are Cold as Hoth!
The new marathons have dropped and the chase just became much more difficult. Expensive packs and the elimination of double-dips have caused many to question the viability of free-to-play strategies. Plenty of callers voice their opinions this week, and one very cool marathon heats up the polls.

The Trade Federation #63
It’s all about Marathons this week. And what a week it was. Goodbye Vintage, goodbye Topps Choice; two staples of the game since the birth of Topps Star Wars Card Trader. Down to two of the original seven Marathons (Widevision and Fan’s Choice), Topps introduces Droids, Creatures, Evolutions, Prime, and Medallions (the first ever pay-only Marathon).
If our callers and comments are any indication, the community has seemingly reached a tipping point in its tolerance for constant negativity. And while it would be unfair to tell people to stop complaining–we all need a place to vent sometimes–it may be an appropriate time to get positive. The internet is like the slime in Ghostbusters II, it is influenced by the emotions of it’s users, and only we can change our destiny!
Join Joe and Bill as they explore the third round of SWCT Marathons.
