Bill joins Steven AKA IMVADER to chat about Posters Series II, relics and more!

This week, Steven from the StarWarsTrader subreddit joins Bill to talk about the new monthly “One White Zuckuss” challenge. It adds a bit of a “game” element to the Star Wars Card Trader app. Without many new sets in the app, Bill and Steven discuss the switch in the Posters Series II set from the IMAX posters to more obscure, foreign posters, and what that means for the character posters that are part of The Force Awakens Series II physical set.
After quickly touching on how one would go about collecting a three card, 20 count, 1:2000 set, they move onto the poll question asking, “How do YOU play the SWCT game?” The options include character collecting, chasing old inserts, chasing new inserts for awards, or simply wallowing in the despair that is base variants. Steven is collecting old inserts to try to relive the good old days. Bill is joining conspiracy theory boards dedicated to unraveling the mystery that is Force Score. Then, as a science experiment in the name of Force Score, Steven trades away nine of his inserts for a single Costume Relic!
Responding to user questions, Bill and Steven discuss their “Holy Grail” cards. (Steven apparently doesn’t even know which set his is from!) They also discuss cross-trading value and cards they own that have sentimental value and will never leave their collection. After that, it’s onto the listener voicemails where Steven thanks the Maker that the 100% trivia streak won’t end on his watch, as CurtNeedsARide3 neglected to call in. A couple of great calls lead Bill and Steven down the path of base variants, and when is the best time to try to “complete the rainbow” for your hoard character.
