The realization of it still hasn’t really hit me yet. I know it’s happening, I picture myself sitting in the theater and watching as the lights dim, but the thought of seeing the film itself is still an abstract concept. Anyone else feel like that too?
To bring the festive spirit to the season, the Star Wars fandom on Twitter has taken to changing their names to become Star Wars names using jokes or puns. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but a certain comic editor over at Marvel thinks I have the best Twitter name of the season. Things like this really make the fandom community a great place to be and show off the creative and brilliant people that we have involved in it. Pablo Hidalgo has probably won with his name, Johnamarie Macias goes with a Clone Wars fan-favorite, Nerf (aka Jonathan Baker) plays the role of the famous X-Wing pilot, Danny from Rogue Podron takes on the persona of our favorite Cantina band, and Mark Sutter IS A TRAP! Have you came up with your Star Wars name for December yet?!?
Earlier this week was the preorder release of the Battle of Jakku DLC for Star Wars Battlefront and oh boy is it amazing. The large format map is called Graveyard of Giants and man is that a fitting title. Featuring crashed X-Wings, TIE Fighters, downed AT-AT walkers and a giant grounded Star Destroyer, the map is extremely surreal knowing the importance that it plays in the GFFA. The new game mode introduced called “Turning Point” is a sight to behold. It is no holds barred action coming from every direction. If you didn’t preorder your copy of Star Wars: Battlefront, the Battle of Jakku free DLC will be available to this coming Tuesday, December 8th.
