TechnoRetro Dads: The Ultimate Arcade!

What would you include in your Ultimate Arcade? Jay and Shua decide what the best video games, food, music, and more would be the best to include in the TechnoRetro Arcade. Plus, the March 1981 issue of Starlog on Magazine Rack.

If you could build your very own TechnoRetro Arcade, what would you make it look like? Would you just recreate your childhood refuge or would you deck it out with everything you ever wanted? We give our suggestions and the suggestions of our amazing Earbuds. And will Altered States be a good movie? The March 1981 Starlog should tell us. Or does it?

I Love My Cereal

Lucky Charms is going all out for St Patrick’s Day! From green milk to Candy Land, check out Shane, the Roving Spoonster’s report of what you can expect. Plus, Carnation Breakfast Drink is getting the cereal flavor treatment. Plus, what does more than 600 dominoes falling over in a school look like? They look like cereal boxes for the local food bank, and lots of good potential lessons for the students. And some drug runners got a lesson of their own when federal agents seized the cocaine they were smuggling in boxes of Corn Flakes. What a horrible way to waste cereal!

The March 1981 issue brings us a variety of stories beginning with a not so thorough article about the upcoming horror movie Altered States. Then it takes a look at how The Incredible Shrinking Woman managed to get made because of the legendary Verna Fields. And how does the 1980 actor’s strike affect the movies that came later and does it reflect what we may see in movie releases in the coming year?

TechnoRetro Arcade

If we’re gonna open an arcade, then we want to do it right! Sure it’s going to include tons of legendary video games, but what else does it need? How big will it be? What will the decor look like? What kind of food should we serve? We lay it out in our brains and incorporate some great ideas from our Earbuds as well. Join us in our Ultimate Arcade!\
