A posthumous request from Qui-Gon Jinn sees Mace Windu traveling to Metagos on a mission to free the planet from the influence of criminal cartels in Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss by Steven Barnes.
As a member of the Jedi Council, Mace Windu is famous for a few things. He was among the Jedi that initially declared that Anakin Skywalker would not be trained as a Jedi. Mace also fought at the Battle of Geonosis and defeated Jango Fett inside the arena. Perhaps the most notable moment in Star Wars for Mace Windu was when he dueled Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith. Of course, there are some fans that cannot forgive the Jedi Master for the way he treated Ahsoka Tano in season seven of The Clone Wars.
In Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss, author Steven Barnes explores the character of Mace Windu. After receiving a message from the recently deceased Qui-Gon Jinn, Master Windu travels to the world of Metagos, which is under the control of criminal cartels that profit off of the planet’s silk production. When Mace goes undercover, he learns not only about the rival factions that control the planet, but he confronts his own past while working with the planet’s inhabitants and their own peculiar connection to the Force.
