The season one finale of The Clone Wars introduces the bounty hunter Cad Bane as he takes over the Senate building and holds Padmé hostage, provoking a confrontation with Anakin Skywalker.
We have reached the season finale for the first season of The Clone Wars. This is a big episode. Most notably, “Hostage Crisis” features the introduction of Cad Bane, the most deadly bounty hunter in the galaxy. Bane assembles an elite squad of bounty hunters and droids to infiltrate the Senate and hold a collection of senators hostage. Unbeknownst to him, Anakin Skywalker happened to be at the Senate that day visiting his secret wife Senator Padmé Amidala. When she becomes Bane’s hostage, he leaps into action. There is one problem: he doesn’t have his lightsaber. We’re breaking down the season finale in this episode of Podcast Stardust.
