Queen Amidala returns to Naboo with the Jedi to defend her. With a little assistance from Jar Jar Binks, she plans to raise an army and take back her planet from the Trade Federation.
After braving an escape from Naboo and a desperate mission to repair the hypderdrive on Tatooine, Queen Amidala was disappointed when the Galactic Senate failed to take action to resolve the Trade Federation blockade of Naboo. Therefore, she decided to take action into her own hands and return to her home planet. Qui-Gon is also disappointed, but his disappointment lies with the Jedi’s refusal to train Anakin Skywalker. Obi-Wan Kenobi has his own frustrations with his master. So, just as it looks like the heroes are drifting apart, they unite to return to Naboo and free the planet from the Trade Federation. In this episode of Podcast Stardust, we are discussing how this segment of The Phantom Menace sets up the third and final act of the movie.
