The clones take center stage when the Separatists attack a Republic listening post manned only by rookie clone troopers. Never fear, Captain Rex and Commander Cody arrive to save the day.
We are returning to our weekly re-watch of The Clone Wars with this episode. Episode five of season one, “Rookies,” features the clones. More specifically, it features a squad of rookie clones on a remote listening post. Just as they are lamenting how inactive their service is, General Grievous and the Separatists attack their outpost. Fortunately for them, Captain Rex and Commander Cody were due to arrive for an inspection. “Rookies” is a foundational episode of The Clone Wars, even though it may not have appeared that way when it was initially released.
