The “Malevolence” trilogy continues with “Shadow of Malevolence” in our The Clone Wars re-watch. Anakin leads Shadow Squadron in a daring mission to destroy General Grievous’s battleship.
In the third episode of re-watch of The Clone Wars, we are discussing the second episode of the “Malevolence” trilogy. Having learned of the existence of the Separatist super weapon, Anakin Skywalker prepares to lead a clone strike force against General Grievous’s battleship. However, this attack won’t be easy. Anakin’s short cut runs right through a pod of neebray mantas, the Malevolence outguns his squadron, and not everyone has Anakin’s flying skills. Despite these obstacles, Anakin is determined to bring this ship down. Join us as we discuss this episode in this episode of Podcast Stardust.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- What this episode of The Clone Wars reminds us of from other Star Wars properties,
- Ahsoka’s inexperience and maturity in “Shadow of Malevolence,”
- Count Dooku’s comments to General Grievous about carelessly destroying battle droids,
- Comments made by Plo Koon and others about Anakin’s leadership abilities and whether they were earned,
- The assault on the Malevlonce, and more.
