Begun, the re-watch of The Clone Wars has! We’re going all the way back to episode one, season one with a discussion of Yoda’s fight against Asajj Ventress and her battle droids.
We couldn’t resist, and we had to do it. That’s right, we are starting a re-watch of The Clone Wars on Podcast Stardust. As Jay will put it, The Clone Wars are just good Star Wars comfort food. So, in this episode we reflect on some of our first viewings of Yoda’s mission to Rugosa to negotiate with King Katuunko of the Toydarians. Naturally, Asajj Ventress and the Separatists interfere, and Yoda must lead his clones in a daring battle against Asajj’s battle droids. This episode has a lot of nostalgia, and we are eager to dive back in to the series.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- Our memories from seeing the very first episode of The Clone Wars for the first time,
- The quality of the animation and how it has changed over the years,
- How the clones and the battle droids evolved from the movies to animation,
- The environment of the dried coral moon of Rugosa,
- How Asajj Ventress appeared in this episode compared to how she evolves in the series,
- Yoda’s lessons for the clones under his command, and
- Our favorite moments from the episode.
