We take a look back at the days following the death of the Emperor with Greg Rucka’s Shattered Empire and explore Shara Bey’s adventures.
We are preparing to discuss Beth Revis’s The Princess and the Scoundrel in the next week or two. Revis’s novel tells the story of Princess Leia and Han Solo’s marriage and subsequent honeymoon in the weeks following the defeat of the Emperor and Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. However, astute Star Wars fans will remember that Greg Rucka’s comic, Shattered Empire, is set in about the same time period. This realization inspired us to review Shattered Empire and examine how it fits with The Princess and the Scoundrel and the impact it made on Star Wars stories that followed.
