Anakin Skywalker follows his former master to Cato Neimoidia in Mike Chen’s wonderful novel exploring “that business on Cato Neimodia” that Obi-Wan Kenobi insists doesn’t count.
Shortly after the Battle of Geonosis in Attack of the Clones, the Jedi Council conferred the title of Jedi Knight upon Anakin Skywalker. This event changes the relationship between Anakin and his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, when Obi-Wan is sent to Cato Neimoidia to investigate a terrorist event, Obi-Wan is still desperate to help. Before long, the two old friends find themselves on another adventure that begins to redefine their partnership and the friendship. We explore this and much, much more as we discuss Mike Chen’s incredible Clone Wars era novel, Brotherhood, in this episode of Podcast Stardust.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala’s relationship as newlyweds in this novel,
- The evolving relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi,
- Anakin and Obi-Wan’s first encounters with Asajj Ventress,
- The introduction of Jedi youngling Mill Alibeth,
- The symbolism of the Sundragon,
- Obi-Wan Kenobi’s trial on Cato Neimoidia,
- The key Neimoidians: Ruug and Ketar, and
- Some of our favorite references and Easter eggs in the novel.
