Now that The Mandalorian and Grogu has been in theaters for a month, we revisit the latest Star Wars movie with the benefit of some reflection and distance.
It has been a month since The Mandalorian and Grogu debuted in theaters. Opinions and reactions are split among fans. Now that we have some distance from our initial viewings and reactions, we are revisiting The Mandalorian and Grogu, with some good old-fashioned Star Wars discussion. Does the movie hold up with a little distance? Would a fourth season of The Mandalorian have been a better choice than a movie? We discuss all of this and more in this episode of Podcast Stardust.
Allen Voivod from Star Wars 7×7, and the author of Hyperspacing Hope, joins us for this discussion.
In this episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- How many times we have now seen The Mandalorian and Grogu,
- Allen’s impressions of the movie,
- What the theme of the movie is,
- Whether Lucasfilm should have gone with season four of The Mandalorian instead,
- Whether a different story with characters we don’t know or haven’t seen for a while have done better,
- Those things that we still enjoy about this Star Wars movie
- What themes of “hope,” if any, are found in the movie, and more.
