After Des pulls off an incredible combat maneuver, he is arrested for insubordination, but the Sith take him to Korriban where his fate is changed forever.
In our last installment of the Darth Bane book club, Des made a fateful decision to disobey his superior’s orders and alter a mission to destroy a Republic outpost. In chapters 7 through 9 of Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, Des carries out the mission and then faces the repercussions. However, the consequences are not what he expected and he soon finds himself on the Sith homeworld where his own talents with the Force have brought him to the attention of the Brotherhood of Darkness. Given an opportunity to join the ranks of the Sith, Des makes a decision that will change the trajectory of the galaxy for a millennia.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- How Des draws on the Force by instinct even if he doesn’t know that is what he is doing,
- Des’s philosophy as a soldier that is already similar to the beliefs of the Sith,
- The successful attack on the Republic outpost and Des’s inexplicable abilities in combat,
- Des’s arrest after returning to the Sith camp, and
- Des’s arrival on Korriban and induction into the Sith.
