The Barton Farm is Hawkeye’s family home, while away from his friends in the Avengers, and the place he’s currently confined.
LOCATION: Barton Family Farm (Christopher Rd, Sharpsburg, GA 30277)
SHOW: Avengers: Endgame
The last time the MCU visited the Barton Farm was in Avengers: Age of Ultron, when the team of heroes needed a place to lay low, off the grid, away from the prying eyes of the murderous kill-bot Ultron. In that film, the wooded land with the quaint country farmhouse was constructed somewhere in Stratfield Saye Park, Reading, UK.
By the beginning of Avengers: Endgame, Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has been placed on house arrest for his crimes against the Sokovia Accords as seen in Captain America: Civil War. The reason for him being MIA during the events of Avengers: Infinity War is now evident. This time a new location was needed, as the production was based at the Pinewood Georgia studios.
Cut to a farm off of Christopher Road in Sharpsburg, GA. Clint and his family are seen enjoying a picnic and some archery lessons before the dreaded “snap,” or “The Blip” as it’s being called in-universe, happens. The location provides the same rustic feel of the space from Age of Ultron, while not replicating either the main farmhouse or barn seen in that film. Yet another unique location in the Atlanta area creating the illusion of a gigantic worldwide event!
Special thanks to Larry Morris, who has done some extensive real-world scouting in the Atlanta area for many MCU locations. His assistance on placing filming locations for the recent Georgia based MCU films has been invaluable.
