The Prompt List
Traditionally, the Inktober drawing challenge publishes the list of prompts a few weeks prior to the beginning of October to give artists a chance to formulate ideas of how to tackle each suggestion. Over the years, a variety of lists have been generated to allow for more options and flexibility. Sure, it would’ve been easy to create my own list that specifically refers to The Mandalorian, but what kind of challenge is that? I decided to stick with the original list and attempt to tie it into the Disney + series.
Prompt 2: Wisp
When I read today’s prompt, I immediately thought of the whisties, or firefolk, first appearing in the 1984 made-for-TV movie Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure. They have since shown up in a variety of media including story books and video games. The little wisps who are native to the forest moon of Endor were befriended by Cindel and even proved helpful in defeating the mighty Gorax.
In Season 2 of the much-anticipated The Mandalorian, Mando is charged with returning The Child to his people, the Jedi. Will he travel to the forest moon of Endor? If he does, will The Child encounter the wisties? Will Wicket help Mando on his journey? One can only hope!

Kendall Schroeder saw the original Star Wars in a small theater in the summer of his 10th birthday and immediately fell in love with the Far Away Galaxy. Pretending to be either Jedi Luke Skywalker or Colonel Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man, Kendall always believed he had special powers. Maybe that’s why he truly believes there is good in all people. And, he will stop at nothing to help rid the world of evil. When Kendall is not creating art, he is leading educators as the head of an online school. Kendall lives in West Michigan with his wife and two kids.
