Here’s a rundown of all the Force Friday coverage only on RetroZap!
Joey here. Force Friday Eve is upon us–FINALLY! You’re excited, I’m excited; if you like Star Wars, you’re pretty excited right now.
It’s pretty amazing that on Force Friday we get glimpses into the next chapters of a story we’ve imagined for 32 years. Thirty-two years! The continuation of this story still amazes me; it was unprompted, unasked for, and a complete surprise, and I think that’s why I feel so thankful for what comes next. There were always rumors of the prequels being made, but as the years went on the sequels became more and more out of reach. That’s why the Sequel Era will always feel like a gift to me.
Everything changes on Force Friday. This is the day that, for almost three years, we have been looking forward to. Force Friday is the day that the new era of Star Wars truly begins. While they were great years, the Prequel Era has finally come to an end. Star Wars and fandom is moving forward into new areas we’ve all wondered about but never got to explore–until now–and RetroZap is gonna be there.
This evening, look for an all-new episode of Brews and Blasters just in time for your local Midnight Madness event, as well as a special episode Friday recapping all the reveals and surprises!
Then, over the next days and weeks, look for reviews of all the new books from the entire RetroZap staff, a plethora of Collectors Hutt videos, and much more.
Also, be on the lookout – there’s a major contest to be announced very shortly, so stay tuned. No, it’s not a loose Kenner figure or small collectible–it’s something special. Keep your eyes and ears peeled to the entire RetroZap network–you never know what is going to happen!
Until then, May the Force Friday be with you!
Joseph Tavano is the owner and editor in chief of RetroZap. Born just months before Luke found out who his father was, he has been fortunate to have had Star Wars in his life as long as he can remember. Growing up just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, he can remember substituting sticks for lightsabers and BMX bikes for speeders. He loves comics, retro games, vintage sci-fi paperbacks, and maps. Though an accomplished drummer, he doesn’t crave adventure (as much) any more, and prefers his old haunts north of Boston, Massachusetts, where he resides with his family. Buy him a glass of whiskey and he’ll return it in kind.
