Battle of New York part 2

As the culmination for Phase I of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Battle of New York, as presented in The Avengers is an amazing spectacle put to film. Not only does have some amazing action, but it combines footage from multiple locations seamlessly to create the city that never sleeps.

Destroyed New York Street

In July of last year, I received an email with some pictures of a destroyed New York street. Luckily no one was injured, and you will be able to see this destruction this weekend in Avengers: Infinity War!

Herefordshire, England

On the most recent episode of Agents of SHIELD, Fitz, Simmons and Yo-Yo travel to Herefordshire, England to stop the bad guys! Of course, they didn’t really travel there, and they’re not really showing you England either.

Ant-Man & The Wasp Trailer

It’s rare that trailers for the MCU give away a lot of location information but the Ant-Man & The Wasp Trailer is rife with outdoor scenes. Let’s examine some of them.

Alias Investigations

Alias Investigations, which is the name of Jessica Jones’ private investigation firm, first debuted in the first episode of Season 1. It has been made up of several exterior filming locations that we’ll be looking at in this article. The interiors of her office are filmed on the Broadway Soundstages in Long Island City.

New York Sidewalk Accident

You’d think that a film about a New York doctor, having a fight in New York City, and ending with an accident on a New York sidewalk would be shot in New York? If you did, then you must not be reading these posts carefully!

Anzhou, China

When Netflix says they’re filming all their Marvel superhero shows in New York, you better believe them. They did not go to Anzhou, China for Iron Fist!

Royal Dragon Chinese Restaurant

The Royal Dragon Chinese Restaurant is one of the most amazing locations in the Netflix series’ of shows. It’s a restaurant that the production were able to drive a car into, shoot up with squibs, and have stunt performers doing wire work inside the small building! That’s because it’s not really a restaurant.

Museum of Great Britain

Location scouting for filming locations of movies does not have to be an arduous process. For instance, the Museum of Great Britain was as easy to find as reading the credits!

Norwegian Field

The Norwegian meadow from Thor: Ragnarok is an interesting location, due to the fact that it’s a conglomeration of multiple other locations. It’s one of those locations that makes this job hard!

HYDRA Facility

The fictional country of Sokovia was shot in several different locations around Europe. What’s great about the HYDRA Research facility is that it’s a real castle in the Aosta Valley in Italy.

MCU Bars

This week, it’s last call on the bars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, part 2, featuring the bars from Agents of SHIELD!
