It’s time once again for the Animanicast! Here’s episode seventeen with “Roll Over Beethoven” and “The Cat and the Fiddle”
Join Joey, Nathan, and Kelly for the seventeenth episode of the “Animanicast!” A podcast dedicated to the classic 90s cartoon show Animaniacs! Today is episode 17 with “Roll Over Beethoven” and “The Cat and the Fiddle”
Animaniacs S01E17 “Roll Over Beethoven” and “The Cat and the Fiddle”
Each and every week, your hosts revisit an episode of the series in the order in which they first premiered. They discuss their favorite jokes, gags, and discuss all the cultural references they can find! Each episode is given a “Water Tower Rating” by the hosts. How many water towers will this episode get? This seventeenth episode features the Warners “helping” the pianist Beethoven and Rita and Runt narrowly escape the evil clutches of Stradivarius.
Roll Over Beethoven
- Beeethoven is having trouble writing a follow up to his fourth symphony. Lucky for him, the Warners are there to help clean his chimney and subconsciously give him the inspiration for his fifth symphony!
- Beethoven is voiced by Kenneth Mars and the hosts discuss some of his most famous roles from “The Producers,” “Young Frankenstein,” and “The Little Mermaid.”
- This episode is also Paul Rugg’s first writing job for the Animaniacs show. Mr. Rugg shared some thoughts with us and Joey reads them.
The Cat and the Fiddle
- Rita and Runt return again in a cute, yet somewhat disturbing cartoon thanks to the psychotic Stradivarius. The hosts discuss the work of Hector Elizondo, who voiced Stradivarius, as well as discuss what the heck catgut is anyway!
