What we’re Enjoying
Shua has been enjoying the new Project Hail Mary movie starring Ryan Gosling. It’s a great interpretation of the beloved book by Andy Weir. The visuals are stunning, but the story is really touching and uplifting. Perfect for a time when we need more hope than ever before. Jay has been watching Jessica Jones Season 3, revisiting the gritty Marvel series before she shows up in Daredevil: Born Again season 2. This former Netflix series has some very realistic and sometimes dark stuff that sets it apart from other superhero shows.

Sci-Fi Saturdays
This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay writes about the mysterious Annihilation (2018), exploring its eerie atmosphere, mind-bending visuals, and deep philosophical themes that make it a very different kind of story. Natalie Portman stars in a movie that could be good to revisit and then read Jay’s article. Read his article on RetroZap.com. And make sure to play around with the interactive map on MCULocationScout.com. This week he’s added some new locations from Daredevil: Born Again season 2. Plus, you can tune in to SHIELD: Case Files where Jay and Shua talk about great stuff in the MCU.

Enjoy 80s Toys!
This week, Jay and Shua take a nostalgic deep dive into two titans of 80s pop culture: GI Joe and Transformers. From their origins as toy lines to their expansion into cartoons, comics, and blockbuster films, we explore how these franchises became cultural juggernauts that shaped childhoods and continue to evolve today.

Along the way, we share personal stories about collecting figures, favorite characters, and memorable moments from both universes. Whether it’s learning new vocabulary from toy manuals or debating robots in disguise, the conversation is packed with humor, nostalgia, and plenty of geeky enthusiasm.
