Our series focusing on Hondo Ohnaka resumes with an episode of The Clone Wars that pays tribute to Akira Kurosawa as the Jedi teach a village to defend themselves.
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker have another encounter with Hondo Ohnaka when they investigate a missing medical station on Felucia. In an episode that serves as a tribute to Akira Kurosawa, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka must train a village to defeat themselves rather than pay bounty hunters to protect them from Hondo and his pirates. And just remember, as Hondo always says, “Speak softly and drive a big tank!”
In this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:
- Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan’s crash landing on Felucia,
- The bounty hunters appearing in this episode,
- How this episode pays tribute to The Seven Samurai and Akira Kurosawa,
- The voice of Embo,
- How the Jedi train the villagers to train themselves,
- Our favorite Hondo quotes from the episode, and
- Whether Hondo was acting with any honor in this episode.
Make sure to check out the prior episode in our Hondo Ohnaka series in episode 638.
