Urkel joins a Star Wars show, the Red Blade has an excerpt, and the Halcyon is scheduled for decommission by the end of the year feature in this week’s Star Wars news.
Although Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to in the near future, this is also a time of uncertainty. With the Writers Guild of America West on strike, the production schedule for many Star Wars shows on Disney+ is in limbo. Also, the Walt Disney Company’s CFO recently announced that Disney will begin curating the content available on Disney+ in a cost saving measure. What does this mean for the availability of Star Wars on that platform? In addition, the unfortunate news that the Galactic Starcruiser would be closing permanently came out in the past week. The news isn’t all bad though. The release dates of some Star Wars books and other content broke as well. We’ll get to all the good and the bad in the past week that was Star Wars news in this episode of Podcast Stardust.
