Jedi Master Porter Engle and his “Sister” Barash Silvain head to the Planet of Knives to end a siege with a complicated past in this High Republic story from Marvel comics.
It is time to look at more comics from The High Republic. A stand out side character from phase one of The High Republic was Porter Engle, the retired Jedi Master who settled on Elphrona only to come out of retirement to fight the Nihil. In The Blade, written by Charles Soule, readers experience Porter’s life when he was in his prime during phase two of The High Republic. In this story, Porter and his “sister” Silvain accept a mission to Gansevor in the hopes of settling a siege between factions apparently disputing the rights to a precious crystal. However, not all is at it seems. Porter and Barash find that the truth is much more complicated as they try to end the siege and restore peace. Join us as we discuss this fun and exciting tale from The High Republic.
In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss:
- Our overall thoughts on The Blade,
- Porter Engle and Barash Silvain’s relationship dating back to their time as younglings in the Jedi temple on Coruscant,
