Star Wars Celebration Europe brought announcements concerning every corner of the Star Wars Galaxy. In this episode, we discuss Lucasfilm’s announcement of three movies in development.
Star Wars Celebration Europe has come and gone. It was four days full of Star Wars news, announcements, celebrations, and fan interactions. On top of it all, there were huge announcements. Lots and lots of announcements. There were so many that we cannot cover them all in one episode of Podcast Stardust. So, with that in mind, we start our discussion of news coming out of Star Wars Celebration Europe by looking at the reveal of not one, not two, but three new Star Wars movies in development. There is so much to get to, so let’s get started.
In this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:
- The addition of three new eras to the Star Wars timeline,
- Kathleen Kennedy’s announcement of three new movies,
- What a Dawn of the Jedi era movie might be like and who is directing it,
- The New Republic era movie and how it relates to Star Wars on Disney+,
- New stories after The Rise of Skwyalker and the return of a Star Wars veteran,
- Our optimism for these movies actually getting made, and
- The announcement of the location for the next Star Wars Celebration and our reaction.
