San Diego Comic Con Day 1 is in the books! Plenty of hype around the Lucasfilm pavilion with Rogue One on the way!
By Mike Audette // With Star Wars Celebration Europe just last week, Comic Con wasn’t the highlight for Star Wars this summer but that doesn’t mean surprises can’t still happen.
Over at the pavilion Lucasfilm brought over the Rogue One character costumes from Celebration featuring Jyn Erso and the rest of the crew along with Director Krennic and two Deathtroopers and the big one, the all new character known as Two Tubes! Two Tubes is an alien pilot that is part of Saw Gerrera’s guerrilla fighters. It’s a really interesting design with his breathing apparatus that he needs to breathe foreign atmospheres away from his home planet.
If you’ve ever been to a Con, signings are a big thing for celebrities, authors, and artists. Over at the Lucasfilm area are the DelRey, DK, and Disney-Lucasfilm Press booths. Some of the notable author signings yesterday were my friend Cole Horton and Life Debt author Chuck Wendig! I got the chance to catch up with Chuck after meeting him last year at NYCC and he’s a really awesome guy. I highly recommend going to see him at a convention of you get the chance.

The show floor at Comic Con is absolutely enormous. It takes probably an entire day’s worth to see it all. I walked by one of the big Hollywood booths and saw Emma Roberts and Dave Franco signing for their new movie.
